Public Talk: Dungse Jampal Norbu – Compassion in the Digital Age

An event especially for younger people. Hear Dungse Jampal Norbu, a young Tibetan Buddhist
Lama, speak on Compassion in the Digital Age. Combining a modern education with his traditional Buddhist
background, Dungse-la brings a unique perspective to the tremendous opportunities and challenges of our
interconnected age. Amitabha Foundation Hall, 7.00 – 9.00pm • Friday 12 May.

Dungse Jampal Norbu

JungseNorbuDungse Jampal Norbu is the son and dharma heir of Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist meditation master. Dungse-la trained from a young age under his father’s tutelage, recently completing a five-year course in Tibetan philosophy. He sees Buddhism as a practical set of skills that enhance our ability to live in a full and compassionate way.

Compassion isn’t the first word which comes to mind when we talk about the digital age, but it is as crucial as it has ever been.
In a time when our connection with the joys and sorrows of the world is highlighted no matter where we are, compassion is essential to guide the digital age towards a positive future.
